My name is Renee. I am hoping that walking my first Camino will be much easier than it was in creating my first blog site.
I got the calling for the Camino when an exercise friend, Gayle, mentioned it. I thought it would be a great way to thank God for my 60th birthday. It was too much of a coincidence when an old high school friend (Rose) told me that she too wanted to walk for her 60th. Long story short, my two camino amigas are Gayle and Kathryn (Rose’s friend). Once we established that the three amigas would actually commit, the planning began. On a side note, Gayle is walking for her 70th birthday. Kathryn is walking for her 60th. Big time celebrations ahead!
I am dedicating my walk to my parents, JD & Rita, whom I lost both in 2022 within 5 months of each other. Without them and the amazing life they gave me, I would not be able to make this journey! They will be with me every step I take!
