Mansilla de las Mulas 16.4 mile

We got an early start and stopped at the first of two towns to eat breakfast almost 5 miles in. The only other stop was about 3.5 miles to our final destination for the night.

Remember I said people with either love or not love the Meseta since it just goes on and on. I actually do not mind it but I don’t have a lot of great photos to share from today’s walk.

As soon as we entered Mansilla de las Mulas, we could see the famous wall, which is considered to be the best medieval fortification work in the province of León. This construction dates back to the 12th century, when Fernando II populated this place. (Per the Google).

We walked around looking for food but Mondays seem to be quiet in most towns. We struck out and have to wait until 7 pm to eat. The walk was not picturesque and the town is small and dead today so I’ll post what I can. Sorry.

We go to Leon tomorrow and only have an 11 mile walk. Woo hoo.
