Orisson Refuge

We walked to Orisson yesterday in the beautiful weather and taxied back up this afternoon to get back on schedule. We will not know if the path to our next stage is open until the morning. They did shut it down today due to the snow.

It was a cold drizzle this morning then turned into a cold sunny day.

We had a nice lunch before we left and I even saw I fly fisherman in the Nive River. I took advantage of eating the fresh trout twice. French food is amazing. One more night in France and then the rest of the way to Santiago is Spain.

St Jean Citadel
I love the hiking boot flower pots
French pastries. I tried the Basque Beret and the Basque cake. Both delicious
Next time I’ll bring my gear
Our welcome snowman. No, I did not make him
Snow capped Pyrenees
My private freezing cold no heat room at the refuge. YIKES.
