Pamplona. City of the famous bull run. 13.75 miles.

Let me just start out by saying I’ll come back to Pamplona and stay longer, hopefully the month of July, not to run with the bulls but to witness it and see the San Fermin festival.

It is the town where Hemingway based his novel The Sun Also Rises 1926. Our hotel is in the center of the town where Hemingway actually stayed. We ate some tapas for dinner and were too tired to do much more. We did walk to the Cathedral but it was closed.

Our walk today was beautiful. We had pleasant weather and only one small shower that only lasted a few minutes. We walked a lot along the Arga River and saw so many water falls.

We saw lots of beautiful countryside. We passed many horses, dogs and cats and a few fat sheep that had amazing coats.

I called this the Rita house. She was a master gardener and she loved purple. Look at the purple boots, bike and wheel barrel
